Prison Foster Program

The ARF Prison Foster Program began in May of 2011 when ARF teamed up with the Lorain Correctional Institute (LorCI) to foster some of ARF’s dogs who are not doing well in the shelter, or those who might have slight behavioral challenges. The program provides socialization and basic obedience training for the dogs themselves. Funding is needed to continue to provide training for the handlers, transportation for the dogs, food and any required medications for the dogs in the program.
