Meet Margie!  This young Akita mix is looking for a true forever home.  It has been a long road for this sweet girl.  Pregnant and ready to have her puppies, Margie lost her first home in a house fire.  The puppies were born and they all found families of their own, but Margie is still patiently waiting her turn at the shelter.

Margie is learning to love people and will gently take a treat from every person she meets.  She is even beginning to seek out their affection!  And if you just give her a few minutes of your time, you’ll get to see the fun loving, affectionate girl that we have come to love.  True to her breed, she is a bit selective of her canine companions, but she might be willing to share a home with the right dog.

Meet Judy!  This young American Staffordshire Terrier is looking for her forever home.  We are still learning about this sweet girl, but we already know that she loves people and dogs – especially puppies.  And she just lives for a good tummy rub and butt scratching!  Judy walks well on a leash and her whole body wiggles at the mere thought of receiving human affection.  She won’t even sit still for a photo! 

Judy has had a tough life – we think she had a litter of puppies at one point, has a few missing teeth, and is missing a bit of one ear.  But we think it gives her great character and she will make a loving companion for the right family!

Say hi to Bridget!  A mix of Spitz and maybe Norwegian Elkhound, our sweet new girl came to us after roaming the streets, apparently lost.  She has brought all of her love and manners from her old home while she is looking for a new forever family.  Bridget will politely sit and offer you her paw, if you request.  In fact, Bridget is constantly seeking cues of approval from everyone around her; she's ready to interact and learn some new tricks.  Bridget is a great size; small enough to cuddle on the couch, but big enough for playing in the park, or running a dog agility course.  Bridget gets along with other dogs and is not phased by cats.

Meet Ricky.  This active and upbeat young cattle dog/jack russell mix is one in a million.  Saved from death row in the nick of time, he is thrilled to have a chance to finally find his forever home.  Little Ricky is a furry comedian, sure to bring you years of laughs and smiles.  He is a little bundle of energy.  Ricky might have been part of the circus in a past life...he flips and jumps with the greatest of ease.  If you have room in your life and your home for this terrific little man, come visit him at the shelter or contact Janine or Mike at 216-224-3159 for more info.
